Dry Stripping An Oak Table Top.

In this guide you will learn how to remove the finish on a table top with cabinet scrappers. No chemical stripper was used.

Because this table is made up of six boards of solid wood with beveled edges and screwed through the top to cross boards underneath the table, I will be dry stripping it. Using a chemical stripper will result in the stripper possibly dripping through the boards and making a mess underneath the table top. Besides- This is an ideal job for a cabinet scrapper, plus dry stripping is my first choice when it comes to removing a finish.
